Will GTA 6 Cost $100? PlayStation Store Placeholders Go Live
As the June 25th pre-order date approaches, the PlayStation Store backend has started updating with Grand Theft Auto VI placeholder pages. With players now able to wishlist the game, the biggest question remains unanswered: How much will the base game cost?
The $100 Rumor Explained
Industry analysts and early financial projections suggest that GTA VI could break the standard pricing model. With Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick previously mentioning that games should be priced "on a per-hour value basis," rumors of a $90 to $100 standard edition have sent the community into a frenzy.
However, realistic projections indicate the Standard Edition will likely sit between $69.99 and $79.99, with Deluxe and Collector's Editions pushing past the $150 mark.
Why You Shouldn't Wait
If physical Collector's Editions are announced, they are expected to sell out globally within minutes of the pre-order gates opening. Furthermore, early buyers often secure exclusive in-game digital assets for the upcoming iteration of GTA Online.
