Why PC Pre-Orders for GTA 6 Aren't Live Yet (And Why Modders Shouldn't Panic)
Today's massive pre-order launch has left a massive demographic out in the cold: the PC Master Race. With pre-sales currently locked exclusively to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the FiveM and modding communities are asking one question: When is our turn?
The Rockstar Strategy
This is standard operating procedure for Rockstar Games. Both GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 followed a strict "Console First" timeline. The RAGE engine is initially optimized for the closed hardware environments of consoles to prevent day-one piracy and massive data-mining leaks regarding the game's code.
Historically, the PC release follows 12 to 14 months after the console launch.
What Should Server Owners Do?
The delay for PC is actually a blessing in disguise for the SixM Hub community. Rebuilding the entire roleplay infrastructure for the new RAGE engine takes time. While console players test the vanilla economy and physics, developers will have a window to prepare their scripts.
Use this time wisely. If you haven't started preparing your community for the shift, you are already behind.
